Before & After Exteriors

Rowayton, CT USA - Purchased a dated cottage in the charming New York bedroom community of Rowayton. The property had been a rental for many years. The exterior was dated and had a good deal of rot and characterless brick. Painting all, replacing rotted window sills and shingles, refacing the brick chimney and foundation with river rock, cleaning up the landscaping and giving the whole property an infusion of 'Carmel Cottage' chic with stone paths, plantings and willow bent fencing to bring it back to life.

Darien, CT USA - A dated Connecticut Colonial on 3 acres that (although well built) needed a serious update in a whole house renovation...the exterior facade was changed to cedar shake shingles painted in a taupe with windows in creamy white and a new front door in a bright blue. The stone work was cleaned and a new canopy added over the door with finials on all peaks. A dovecote on the garage and oil & stone added to the expansive driveway with new plantings.

Rowayton, CT USA - An 1864 2 bed, 1 bath converted Post-n-Beam barn was completely reimagined into a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with unique and exaggerated eaves, new windows and doors, vaulted 2nd story and an addition of a new garage/bedroom wing. The property entrance, driveway and plantings all adding to the prior forlorn approach to give this unique hilltop/river view property its due at the entrance to the idyllic town of Rowayton, Connecticut.

Grey Gate Lodge, Foxford, Co Mayo Ireland - A derelict property on 10 acres bought at auction was left gutted inside with the property suffering from a decade of neglect and dumping. It was converted into a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom Victorian inspired gate lodge and eventually served as a Boutique B&B.
