After 23 years designing homes for clients across Ireland, the USA and the Channel Islands, I've made a deliberate shift.
Karen Mackay Designs — known for the last decade along with my brand Wild Atlantique — will remain my professional portfolio website and the foundation of everything I do. You can find project history, media mentions and client testimonials there, along with a link to my full Houzz Pro profile on houzz.ie. Coastal style will always be an inspiration for me, influenced by both sides of the Atlantic Ocean where I have worked as an Interior Designer and Project Manager, sourcing sustainable, high quality and imaginative home decor and designing/managing efficient renovations.
But the next chapter is DesignIY™ (Design it Yourself)
Built on the basis of over two decades of assisting people avoid costly mistakes with their homes, creating personal spaces that work for them, and advising on investing in their real estate wisely. I have now created DesignIY™ as a practical education platform for homeowners who want to design, renovate, update and manage their home renovation properly.
Two courses are now live:

✦ Project Management for Design DIYers — the practical tools to manage your renovation with clarity and control. Budgets, trades, timelines and how to avoid the mistakes that cost the most.
